Expanded Short-Term Medical Disability Benefits

Dear Faculty Colleagues, 
 
I am pleased to announce the expansion of short-term medical disability benefits. Effective January 1, 2022, paid short-term medical disability leave will be available to all faculty whose appointments are at least 50% FTE.
 
This expansion of benefits is part of the university’s efforts to enhance our support for working families at Yale, which included the extension of paid parental leave for managerial and professional (M&P) staff earlier this semester.
