[Summary: This message announces that all benefits-eligible faculty, staff, post-doctoral associates, and post-doctoral fellows will receive 20 back-up care days for child or eldercare from January 1-June 30, 2021.]
Dear Colleagues,
In November, the University announced the expansion of our childcare resources to include a total of 25 back-up care days to use through December 31, 2020. With the beginning of the new year, we are pleased to share a continuation of this program. Effective January 1 – June 30, 2021, eligible staff and faculty will have 20 days available through the Bright Horizons Back-up Care program. This includes the use of the Crisis Care Assist program, which reimburses faculty and staff for child and eldercare provided by those in their personal networks.
We recognize that many members of our community continue to be impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. We are glad that so many of you utilized the back-up care days offered this year and received reimbursements for your child and eldercare needs. We hope that this spring offering will provide much needed support in the coming months.
More information regarding this program and other childcare resources can be found on the COVID-19 Childcare Resources website. If you have questions, please email worklife@yale.edu.
It has been a challenging year and we are deeply grateful for your continued service to Yale. We offer our best wishes to you and your families.
Sincerely,
Scott Strobel
