Liz Quercia serves as Director of Communications, where she develops and leads strategic communications on behalf of the provost.

In her role, Liz supports provostial speaking engagements, university-wide messaging, media engagement, and special projects, with a focus on Yale’s academic priorities. She also serves as a resource to vice provosts’ units, advising on a range of communications strategies and needs. Liz also works with colleagues across schools and units, collaborating on communications projects that keep the Yale community informed of academic resources and services and share the impact of Yale’s mission on the world.

Liz joined the provost’s office in 2021 as senior project manager for strategic initiatives. Previously, she served in the Office of Institutional Affairs and the Office of the Secretary in roles that managed projects on behalf of the Board of Trustees, planned university and special events, supported student life initiatives, and stewarded university traditions. She has staffed university and Board of Trustees committees and served on search committees for university leadership roles.

In addition to her professional role, Liz is a resident fellow in Jonathan Edwards College at Yale, where she advises undergraduate students and convenes the Paskus Mellon Forum, a program for seniors.
