Liz Quercia serves as director of communications in the Office of the Provost, where she is responsible for developing strategic communications related to the university’s academic priorities. She has been a member of the Yale community since 2013 and has held roles in the Office of the Provost, the Office of Institutional Affairs, and the Office of the Secretary. Throughout her career, Liz’s responsibilities and projects have included producing and editing materials for the meetings and briefings of the Board of Trustees; creating content strategy related to the university priorities; managing communications and collateral for large-scale projects such as the Yale Corporation Alumni Fellow Election and commencement; speechwriting; developing university websites with partners in other units; and coordinating publicity and marketing for major university events and student life initiatives. Liz has experience working with a wide range of university stakeholders and has planned events and staffed major university-wide committees. In addition to working at Yale, she lives on campus as a resident fellow in Jonathan Edwards College, where she advises undergraduate students and convenes the Paskus Mellon Forum, a program for Yale College seniors.
