Fiona Williams serves as the Senior Manager, Finance & Operations. In this role, she advances organizational priorities through strategic financial management, operational planning, budget oversight, reporting, process improvement, and compliance management.
As Senior Manager, Finance & Operations, Fiona helps ensure that operations align with institutional goals and long-term priorities. She also partners with departmental leaders and stakeholders to develop financial strategies, improve business processes, and ensure compliance with university policies, internal controls, and applicable regulations. She also provides policy guidance and operational support to strengthen accountability, informed decision-making, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration across Yale.
Fiona brings extensive experience in finance, operations, and organizational management. Throughout her career, she has led initiatives focused on process improvement, resource management, organizational effectiveness, and policy implementation. Her expertise includes building collaborative partnerships, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting leadership in achieving strategic objectives.
Fiona holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Economics from the University of the West Indies, Mona, and an MA in Accounting from Southern New Hampshire University. She joined Yale in 2017. Fiona is guided by a commitment to leading with integrity, fostering collaboration, and creating environments where individuals and teams can thrive.
