Cassandra Grisby serves as Senior Financial Analyst. Cassandra provides financial support for the Science Development Fund (SDF) and supports the administration of key faculty programs such as Phased Retirement and the 9-over-9 compensation program.
As Senior Financial Analyst, Cassandra manages the SDF Database, supporting the funding request process, preparing reconciliations, and providing monthly and ad-hoc reporting and analysis. In this capacity, she provides support and guidance to all faculty and departments holding SDF agreements. In addition to the SDF, Cassandra also administers critical compensation programs such as Phased Retirement and 9-over-9. She manages all aspects of these programs while performing monthly reporting and ad-hoc analysis, and providing departmental support as needed.
Cassandra began her career at Yale in Business Operations supporting the Business Operating Leadership Team (BOLT), providing compliance metrics and reporting at the university level. In that role, she provided monthly metrics and scorecards to BOLT, Lead Administrators, and Operations Managers, while partnering with departments to enhance metric performance. She went on to support Yale Medicine in the Revenue Integrity & Analytics Department, providing financial modeling to support professional fee schedules. She later supported the Department of Immunobiology, performing post-award reporting and analysis. In that role, she provided daily support to faculty for all aspects of their portfolios, including effort reporting, labor planning, and resource management. Most recently, she supported the VP Global Strategy & International Affairs (VPG) Department, managing the Financial Review Checklist, budgeting/forecasting, and ad-hoc analysis for multiple units.
Cassandra holds a BS in Marketing and an MBA in Finance from Quinnipiac University.
