The Provost’s Undergraduate Forum is structured as a mutual learning experience, rather than an advocacy group or policy group. Over the course of the academic year, undergraduate students have the opportunity to learn about the university beyond Yale College from the leaders of various portfolios in the Office of the Provost. Each forum participant also prepares a brief presentation to provide an opportunity for the provost to learn something about the Yale College student experience.
The provost is the university’s chief academic and budget officer. In these roles, and with the support of the provost’s office, the provost advances Yale’s academic and research priorities while stewarding resources to support current and future generations of faculty, students, and staff.
