Gendler appointed deputy provost for the humanities and initiatives

In a message to faculty in the arts and sciences, Provost Ben Polak announced the appointment of Tamar Gendler, the Vincent J. Scully Professor and former chair of philosophy, as deputy provost for the humanities and initiatives for the 2013-14 academic year. In this role, she will share responsibility for the FAS humanities departments with Emily Bakemeier, and will serve as the provost’s office’s lead on special initiatives.
