Please join us on either Thursday, April 3 (for non-tenured faculty) or Friday, April 4 (for tenured faculty) from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. in Timothy Dwight College, Thompson Common Room (345 Temple Street) for our faculty workshop, Leadership, Voice and Authority for Women in Academia.
Acquire the ability to communicate with greater authority in this interactive workshop geared to women faculty members. Rena Seltzer of Leader Academic Coaching & Training will guide participants through activities to assess their own communication patterns and practice effective patterns of speech and use of voice. The workshop will also touch on the importance of negotiation and effective negotiation strategies for women. Participants are asked to prepare for this session by reading selections on authority, voice, and influence from Rena’s book-in-progress for women professors.
