Megan A. Barnett joined the Provost’s Office in 2015 as Associate Provost and Chief of Staff. In 2018 she became the Vice Provost for Strategic Initiatives. She works with the provost and other university leaders on strategic planning, resource allocation, and special projects. From 2002 – 2015, Megan worked at Yale Law School in a variety of associate dean roles with responsibilities including academic affairs, faculty governance, international programs, finance and administration, and admissions and financial aid. Before joining Yale, Megan was an associate at Gibson Dunn & Crutcher, where she specialized in advising high-tech clients on intellectual property litigation and licenses. Megan also served as a law clerk to the Honorable R. Lanier Anderson III on the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and a financial analyst at Solomon Brothers. She is a fellow at Saybrook College, a member of the board of directors of Dwight Hall at Yale, and a member of the District of Columbia bar. She received her J.D. from Yale Law School and her B.A. from the University of Virginia.
